Guttural singing, or "two-part solo," the predominant owners of which are the peoples of the Sayan-Altai region, Bashkiria and Tibet, awakens many mixed emotions in a person. At the same time I want to be sad and rejoice, think and meditate.
The uniqueness of this type of art is specific guttural singing, in which the performer can clearly hear two musical voices. One pulls bourdon, the other (melody) makes sound amplitudes.
A look at the origins
Ancient master-performers on creativity have always been inspired by nature. The ability to not only imitate her, but also to penetrate into essence was appreciated. There is a legend which says that in very old times throat singing was common among women, not among men. Centuries later, everything turned upside down, and today such singing has become purely masculine.
There are two versions about its occurrence. The first one insists that it is based on the Dalmaian religion. Only here the Mongolian, Tuvan and Tibetan lamas sang harmonious polyphony in parts with a guttural sound, that is, they did not split their voices! The second, the most plausible, proves that throat singing was born in the form of lyrics, lyric and love in content.
Styles of "two solo solo"
According to sound qualities, there are five types of this gift of nature.
- Kargyra imitates wheezing or sounds like wheezing.
- Khoomei acoustically represents the heavy, humming sounds of extremely low frequencies.
- Sygtytmost likely derived from the verb "whistle" and means lamentations, crying.
- Borbannadyr (from "borbannat" - roll something round) has rhythmic forms.
- But the name esengileher interesting enough. When riding a horse, a choprak glued to the saddle and the bridle touch the stirrups. There is a special rhythmic sound, to play which the rider must occupy a certain position in the saddle and ride at a pace. The fifth element of style imitates these sounds.
Heal yourself
Much is known about music therapy and the effect of music on the human body. Throat singing exercises have a beneficial effect on the health and mental state of a person. However, like hearing it. After all, it was no wonder that such music was an instrument of meditation, with the help of which they were introduced to the language of nature. This quality is also used by shamans in their rites. By emitting harmonizing sound vibrations, they moved as close as possible to the “healthy” frequency of the diseased organ and healed the person.
